Description

NA This requirement is for 464 each, Sear, NSN: 1005-01-170-1982, P/N: 12524089, End Use: M242 Gun. This solicitation will be awarded using BEST VALUE procedures. Therefore, you are notified that award will not be made on price alone, but on price and past pe rformance. Parts include a steel sear arm, spring pins, steel sear rocker and washers. Alloy steel per MIL-S-8844, Class 3, and 4340 AMS 6415 required. Magnetic particle inspection and finish with a supplementary treatment of oil per MIL-L-3160 required. H eavy phosphate coating is required. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-01(c), therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the is sue date by accessing the following address via the internet: http://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation a nd is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any said amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain said amendments a nd to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of offers may render your proposal non-responsive and result in the rejection of same.
