- NA Fort Lewis is soliciting for a contractor to provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, transportation, and labor necessary to rebuild 6.2L Diesel Engine Short Blocks. Work shall include, but not be limited to, teardown, inspection, cleaning, rep air and replacement of components in accordance with the Statement of Work. Government testing and acceptance of the rebuilt block will occur within seven (7) days of receipt from the contractor. Constructive acceptance will occur if the testing has not been accomplished by the Government within the 7 days. A one year warranty is required which will begin after acceptance. This is a firm fixed-price, requirements type contract. This procurement will consist of a Base Period, 1 February 2004 through 31 January 2005, with four one-year option periods. This requirement will be 100% Set-Aside for Small Business (SB) concerns. Concern means any business entity organized for profit with a place of business located in the United States, including but not lim ited to: an individual, partnership, corporation, joint venture, association, or cooperative. The size standard for any concern, including its affiliates is 750 employees. NAICS: 336312, FSC 2815. Telephonic requests for the solicitation will not be a ccepted. All faxed requests must include an email address. When issued, the solicitation will be available by downloading from the Directorate of Contracting web site at http://www.lewis.army.mil/doc. The estimated issue date for this solicitation, W911S8-04-R-0002, is 08 December 2003. Firms providing a proposal shall ensu re they are registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database prior to submission of their proposal.
