Description
The Air Armament Center (AAC), Eglin AFB, FL intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract for A TRAINING COURSE ON ADVANCED ELECTRONIC WARFARE PRINCIPLES FOR (30) STUDENTS; the course length is THREE AND A HALF DAYS LONG. This requisition is unrestricted. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items utilizing FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The announcement number is F753WG33030100. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 611699. If you feel your company meets the Government requirements, please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard. ADVANCED ELECTRONIC WARFARE (EW) PRINCIPLES. Course dates: December 9-12, 2003. Who will attend: 36 EWS Electronic Warfare Engineers and Operations Analysts. Prerequisites: All attendees have Bachelor of Science Degrees (BS) in Engineering or Math, some EW experience, Secret Clearance. Course will be taught as an advanced graduate level. Major Topics: Advanced EW Principles concentrating on RF Jamming; Weapon Systems Overview; Radar System Advances; Multiple Channel Receivers; Coherent Signal Processing; Weapon System Functional Susceptibilities to EW Concepts; Advanced EW Receiver Processor Systems; Operational Environment Impact on Design; Intercept Receiver Performance Analysis; Direction Finding and Emitter Location; Advanced EW Techniques and Technology; Dual Coherent Source Techniques; Digital RF Memories; Radar Signatures; ECM/Signature Tradeoff Example. Courses should have the most recent development in Electronic Warfare (EW) technology, dual coherent source techniques on advanced on- board (RF) countermeasures, including ECM techniques to counter emerging radar and the latest technological advances in radar systems.
