Description
NAICS Code: 334516 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order under Simplified Acquisition Procedures to BioRad, 2000 Alfred Nobel Drive, Hercules, CA 94547 for the acquisition of one iCycler iQ Real Time Detection System with iCycler Thermal Cycler and PC Computer and Monitor. The EPA has identified BioRad, the only vendor capable of satisfy the requirement. To ensure reproducibility of QA category II research projects, this icycler must be identical to the one currently in use. The new icycler will be used in both new and ongoing studies, the laboratory must be able to compare data obtained from it with historial data from the current icycler. In order to ensure data compatibility and accuracy The circumstance permitting "other than full and open competition" is FAR 6.302-1 "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy Agency requirements". The intent of this notice is to determine if any other source(s) exist, and therefore, no solicitation (RFQ) is available. Consequently, any response failing to provided the aforementioned data and instead choosing to merely submit a routine letter requesting a copy of the RFQ will be ignored. Interested parties who can meet the above requirements may submit written qualification statements, fully explaining their capability no later than 15 days after the date of this publication.
