Description
This notice has been modified from the initial version that was posted on 30 October 2003. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to negotiate and award a delivery order against Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-03-G-0014 on a sole-source basis with Lockheed Martin Systems Integration (LMSI), Owego, NY to procure Light Airborne Multi-Purpose System (LAMPS) helicopter integration support on-site at Bath, ME and Pascagoula, MS for the DDG 51 Flt IIA Class of new build ships. This delivery order will cover engineering support for the Installation and Checkout (INCO) of the ship electronics element of the LAMPS MK III Weapon Systems, as well as engineering support of LAMPS MKIII shipboard subsystems at the Contractor?s facility. The estimated period of performance for this effort is 01 January 2004 through 31 December 2004. LMSI is the sole-developer of the MH-60R Helicopter Avionics sensor suites which are integrated with the Flt IIA ships. As such, LMSI is the only responsible source with the necessary access to technical data and requisite expertise to perform this effort. See Numbered Note 22.
