- Description
- The work includes installation of new padmount transformers, dry type transformers, and unit substations. All transformer primaries are 11.5KV with 120/280V, 240V delta, & 277/480V secondaries. Install new primary and secondary ductbanks to support substations. Installation of secondary feeder circuits to feed existing loads will also be required. Several substations utilize existing foundation, although new concrete foundations will be required to install new gear. Demolition work including removal of single phase transformer and 2300V distribution system and incidental related work will be required. Some exterior street lighting and interior fluorescent lighting will be accomplished in the contract. In conclusion, the prupose of this contract is to remove the existing 2300V distribution system and upgrade to the 11.5KV distribution system while replacing existing facility feeders. A quality assurance specialist will be required for this contract. The Estimated Value is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The solicitation will be available on the NAVFAC E-Solicitation website via the Internet at http://esol.navfac.navy.mil. Documents will be available for downloading on or about 05 December 2003. Contractors must register for the solicitation before downloading from the NAVFAC E-Solicitation website. Registered contractors will be notified by email when amendments to the solicitation are issued. The North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS)Code is 221122 with an Annual Size Standard of $4,000,000.00. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. If the low offerer is a Large Business, a Small Business Subcontracting Plan will be required.
