Description
THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR Telemetry Tracking Antenna. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to answer the following questions: 1. What is the maximum height that can be tolerated on top of the van? We are trying to keep the entire installation profile low as possible. We are trying not to interfere with other antennas and they are trying not interfere with us. 2. What is the frequency range desired? 1650 - 2300 MHz? 1435 -2300 MHz? 1435 - 2300 MHz 3. At 1650 MHz, and because an autotrack feed at this frequency is physically large (causes aperture blockage), we have calculated that we will need a reflector that is over 30" in diameter. Is this acceptable Size will be one of the factors in our decision. 4. Does the user desire a 3-axis system to handle overhead tracking, or will a 2-axis system suffice given that the beamwidth is so large? We do need overhead tracking. 5. Please describe the environmental conditions that this system will operate in (temp, wind, humidity etc) We will operate in rain. Expect temperatures -10 C to +50 C. 6. What is the required velocity and acceleration of this system to accomplish the mission? Velocity 100 deg/sec Acceleration 100 deg/sec2 7. What is the pointing/tracking accuracy requirement? +/- 10 degress The due date for receipt of offers IS extended to COB, Monday, November 10, 2003.
