- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division intends to enter into a firm-fixed price purchase order on a sole source basis with NICO-PYROTECHNIK HANNS-JURGEN DIEDERICHS GMBH & CO KG, Bei Der Feuerwerkeri 4, DD 22946 Trittau, Germany, the U.S. Marine Corps and USSOCCOMs requirement for an Optimization Study of existing non-development candidate fuzes for the 40mm M430 High Explosive, Dual Purpose (HEDP) cartridge Product Improvement Program. This procurement is a preliminary effort based on a Foreign Comparative Testing Proposal approval. The contractor will be required to perform a performance, producibility, and cost study designed to select the optimum available fuze for the improved 40mm HEDP cartridge.
