- NA Anticipated release date of this solicitation will be 03 Dec 2003. This IFB is to solicit a quantity of 156,783 Lifting Plugs, Shock Attenuating. NSN 1320-01-108-7826 Part number 9341742, with First Article required within 120 days after award. Delivery wi ll be at 20,000 a month begining 150 days after award. A qualified source should possess the equipment, process technology and manufacturing experience for casting malleable iron, machining, zinc phosphate and painting the Lifting Plug. Minimum mechanical properties are 32,500 PSI Yield Strength (at 0.2% offs et), 50,000 PSI Tensile Strength, Elongation 10%. The gasket acts as a seal between the lift plug and the shell and provides for easy removal. Note 1 applies.
