Description

MICROSOFT TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICES: HQ ACC CONS, Langley AFB, VA intends to negotiate a non-competitive, sole source, commercial purchase order with Microsoft Consulting Service for technical support services to include labor, support services and travel to Air Combat Command (ACC) facilities as required. Currently, all ACC bases utilize the Defense Messaging System (DMS) version of Exchange 5.5 server and commercial of DMS Microsoft Outlook Clients. The same email servers host DMS accounts and commercial personal accounts. ACC is in the process of migrating to its desired end-state goal of two independent Exchange sites consisting of the commercial version of Exchange 2003 and the DMS version of Exchange 5.5. ACC requires 640 hours support from a Microsoft Consultant Service (MCS) Senior Consultant to assist with the development and validation of its proposed Exchange 2003 architecture. The services are in conjunction with services being provided under F44650-03-P-0020 and F44650-03-C-0014. There is currently no known contract for services to migrate from a base-centric Windows NT4 architecture to enterprise Windows 2000 Active Directory architecture. This procurement is authorized in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1). The proposed solicitation is for services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. No solicitation document exists. Telephone requests will not be honored. A determination by the government to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
