Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) subpart 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items as supplemented with additional information included in this announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. RFQ 50507-002-04 is issued as a request for quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-16. This action is unrestricted. The North American Industrial Classification System Code is 444130. The small business standard is $6.0 Million. STATEMENT OF WORK: The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Federal Medical Center Carswell, P.O. Box 27066, J Street Building 3000, Fort Worth, Texas has a requirement to make a single award for the following items that cannot be substituted. All door closures and emergency door hardware must match existing doors and door frames. These must also be compatible with the fire alarm system that is in place. Award will be based on price and past performance. Quotations must be received by 2:00 p.m. (CST), Friday, November 28, 2003. The solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC01-16. The following clauses and provisions are incorporated by reference and apply to this acquisition. Each offeror shall include a completed copy of the FAR provision 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items (June 2003) and must provide DUNS Number and Taxpayer Identification Number, and provide contract information regarding prior contracts (Government or other) in order to rate past performance. The Government will award to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered.
