NA CONTRACTOR INFORMATION: This announcement is open to all businesses regardless of size. If a large business is selected for this contract it must comply with FAR 52.219-9 regarding the requirement for a subcontracting plan for that part of the work it int ends to subcontract. A SOURCES SOUGHT/INFORMATION DRAFT RFP WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE US ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS EBS WEBSITE ?????? http://www.poa.usace.army.mil/contracting/default.asp. The U.S. Army Corp of Engineer District is requesting comments on th e performance based statement of work for the dredging of the Anchorage Harbor. All comments will be due on 21 Nov 03. In addition, A PRE-SOLICITATION CONFERENCE WILL BE HELD ON 4 DEC 03 AT THE U.S. ARMY CORPS OF ENGINEERS, SEATTLE DISTRICT, 4735 EAST MA RGINAL WAY SOUTH, SEATTLE, WASHINGTON 98134-2329. The requirements are to maintain the harbor at -38 feet MLLW. Recent dredged quantities have ranged from 600,000 to 1,700,000 cubic yards per year with daily shoaling rates ranging from 3,000 cubic yards per day to 19,000 cubic yards per day at the Port of Anchorage, Alaska. The Contractor is to furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, materials, supervision and other items and services necessary to accomplish the work. The contract will be one base year and one option year. Type of contract is firm-fixed price.
