Description
The Government intends to procure on a Full and Open Competition basis, Gaseous Argon, Type I, Grade A, NSN 9135-00-882-1793, in accordance with MIL-PRF-27415A dated 11 Dec 1997 including Amendment 1 dated 20 Aug 98 and associated services for two regions (East and West of the Mississippi) covering the entire world. The product will be delivered FOB Origin into Government-furnished, high-pressure cylinders made of light aluminum for CONUS deliveries or heavy steel for OCONUS shipments. The cylinders must be delivered at a pressure of 6,000 psig at 70?F (578 standard cubic feet (scf)). The solicitation will include a requirement for an estimated quantity of 1,560 cylinders per year for a five-year total of 7,800 cylinders. Each region must have a designated fill point and point of contact and the capacity to store a minimum of 1,750 cylinders. Additionally, the solicitation will include a line item for product delivered FOB Origin into Government-furnished Standard High Pressure cylinders at a pressure of 2,200 psig at 70?F (255 standard cubic feet (scf)). The estimated quantity for the Standard High Pressure cylinders will be 4 per year for a five-year total of 20 cylinders. The solicitation will include line items for cylinder related services including Evacuation and Purging; Palletization; Cylinder Re-Certification; Painting; Replacement of Valves, Caps and Collars; Re-Identification; and Disposal Preparation. One or up to two contracts (one for each region) could be awarded as a result of this commercial acquisition. The award(s) will be a five-year, fixed price, requirements type contract. The contract ordering period(s) will be 1 January 2004 through 31 December 2008. The anticipated award date for up to two contracts (one for each region) will be 19 December 2003. Only written, emailed, or faxed requests for solicitation received directly from the requestor are acceptable. The subject solicitation, to be issued on 3 November 2003, will be posted to FedBizOpps web page (www.fedbizopps.gov). When the solicitation is posted to the homepage, a notice will be sent to all firms on the mailing list. If you do not have Internet, a hard copy of the solicitation may be requested. Offers should be submitted, in writing, to the address stated above. E-mail (.PDF files) or facsimile offers will be accepted, but should be submitted by the closing time and followed up by hard copy.
