- Description
- The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Coherent Laser Group, Santa Clara, CA under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) Only One Source Reasonably Available, to provide maintenance coverage for five (5) Verdi CW green diode pumped solid state lasers, to include parts, labor & travel. These are state-of-the-art lasers that operate with proprietary components that are available only through Coherent. A fixed price Purchase Order will be issued on or about November 10, 2003 with a three year performance period. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, in writing, no later than the response date. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ). No RFQ is available. See note 26
