- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE to identify U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Certified HUBZone small business firms capable of providing all labor, material, equipment transportation and supervision required to dredge the boat basin at USCG Station Marblehead, Marblehead, OH. Work will include sediment and rock removal and will be phased as follows (1) Removal of Loose Material (2) Removal of Bedrock. Base contract will include 1070 CY sediment and loose material removal and 475 CY rock removal. Unit Bid Items will be based on 650 CY overdredge allowance for sediment and loose material and 405 CY overdepth allowance for rock removal. The NAICS for this project is 237990 with a Small Business Size Standard of $17.0M. NOTE for NAICS code 237990 - Dredging: To be considered small for purposes of Government procurement, a firm must perform at least 40 percent of the volume dredged with its own equipment or equipment owned by another small dredging concern. Vendors interested in performing this requirement are invited to provide the following information to USCG CEU Cleveland (Attn: Brian K. Jarrell) no later than COB 11/05/03. The information may be submitted via email to BJarrell@ceucleveland.uscg.mil or faxed to 216-902-6278. Responses shall include the following information: Company Name, Address, Point of Contact, Phone Number and Email Address; Business Size (Disadvantaged Status, 8(A) status or HUBZone status). Indicate if dredging activities will be self-performed or subcontracted, and the ownership status of the dredging equipment. If subcontracting, provide the name and business size of subcontractor. NO RESPONSE WILL BE PROVIDED FOR REQUESTS FOR SOLICITATIONS OR POSTING STATUS. When available, the resultant pre-solicitation notice and solicitation will be posted at this website. This synopsis is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result from a response to this Sources Sought or Government use of any information provided. The Government Reserves the right to consider a small business, 8(A), or any other set aside arrangement as deemed appropriate for this procurement.
