- This publication serves as notice to procure on a sole source basis to Babington Enterprises, Inc. located at 1113 Ingleside Ave, McLean, VA 22101 for one (1) of each of the following item for military forces field use: Single Pallet Expeditionary Kitchen (SPEK) NSN 7360-01-514-1442. The Single Pallet Expeditionary Kitchen (SPEK) is a rapidly deployable, field food service system that provides initial deployment subsistence support to 500 personnel per day. Complete with its own 2KW Diesel Generator Set, the SPEK is a TEMPER Tent-based field kitchen designed around the clean burning, patented Babington Airtronic multi-fuel burner. The core elements are the Babington Tray Ration Heater and Field Sanitation Unit; both heated by the Airtronic Burner. A single maintenance kit, containing a replacement burner and critical spare parts supports both the ration heater and the sanitation unit. The spare burner can be mounted into the Babington PMB Sled (accessory item) creating a Powered Multi-fuel Burner; a safe replacement for the gasoline M-2. The PMB can be used in the M-59 Field Range and as a stand alone heat source for the preparation of A-Rations. Items contained in this solicitation are for delivery FOB destination Youngstown ARS; Vienna OH 44473. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a separate written solicitation will not be issued. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 423440 with a standard size of 500 employees. Registration in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) is required (DFARS 252.204-7004).
