- Description
- The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Keyport is soliciting for Rapid Prototyping Services. This requirement will be procured under FAR Part 12 commercial acquisition procedures utilizing best value evaluation of offers. This procurement will be solicited and awarded as an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity contract for a base ordering period of one year with the a two one year option periods. The estimated quantity for each year is 100 parts. Services to include producing parts directly from CAD files using rapid prototyping technology with a minimum monolithic part size of 38 inches by 18 inches by 10 inches with finished parts delivered within two weeks after issuance of delivery order. The material to have a minimum yield stress of 60 KSA, a maximum density of .3 lb/cu in, and an accuracy of plus/minus .010 inches or plus/minus .002 inches per inch, whicheve r is greater. FOB Destination: Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Keyport, Keyport, WA 98345. Inspection and Acceptance at Destination. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued by 12 Nov 03. The closing date of the solicitation is anticipated to be 02 Dec 03. When issued, the RFP will be posted electronically via NECO on the NUWC Division Keyport, Acquisition Division website. Offerors wishing to submit an offer are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFP from this website and to frequently monitor the site for any amendments to the RFP. No telephone or fax requests for the RFP package will be accepted. An email request to klosem@kpt.nuwc.navy.mil will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFP from the NECO or NUWC Division Keyport website. No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFP / amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to the electronically posted RFP and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render your offer nonresponsive and result in rejection of the same. After downloading the solicitation, firms interested in submitting quotes must: (1) complete the pricing, (2) complete all representations and certifications found in the solicitation, (3) manufacturer information of proposed items and (4) ensure current registration in the DoD Central Contractor Registration database (http://www.ccr.gov/).
