- Description
- The BCS-Mobile will be a theater asset that supports the Joint Force Commander (JFC)/ JFACC/Area Air Defense Commander requirement for tactical level air battle management. This system will replace the AN/TYQ-23 Operations Module of the former Control and Reporting Centers. It will support the Air Force Expeditionary Air Force (EAF) concept by creating a more deployable, tailorable theater C2 capability that will require less manpower to provide a persistent theater air control presence. It must accept, process, exploit, correlate and fuse data from multiple sensor/information sources and share it throughout the battlespace. The BCS-M communications? switch systems must be high capacity, compact, rugged, reliable, lightweight, and capable of rapid setup in austere environments. The equipment will be multi-spectrum, media-independent, secure, and jam resistant. It will be redundant, remotable, have a self-test capability, and degrade gracefully. It will be capable of interfacing with both military and commercial communications systems and be RED/BLACK certified.
