- This modification deletes Lufkin, TX from the upcoming solicitation. The place of performance for RFQ-R8-04-05 will be Alexandria, LA only. The USDA, Forest Service, Southern Region is soliciting quotes for Exclusive-Use, Type III Helicopter services to conduct fire suppression and aerial ignition operations, using Premo Mark III (Ping Pong Ball Dispenser) machines, provide observation/recon platforms, and supply water drops for the control of wildfires and in support of prescribed fires for a 90-day period. The solicitation will be posted on this website on or about October 29, 2003. The designated base will be at the Kisatchie National Forest in Alexandria, LA. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. See Numbered Notes 1, 12 and 13.
