- SCOPE OF REQUIREMENT: The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) requires, on an as needed basis, the facilities of one or two qualified hotels in Chicago, Illinois for the base period of December 1, 2003 through September 30, 2004 and for two option years. The OCC intends to award one or two contracts for hotel guest rooms and parking for the OCC employees that visit the Chicago District Office on business and for training sessions. The selected hotel(s) must be located within 1.5 miles from the District Office, which is at 440 S. LaSalle Street, Chicago. The OCC anticipates issuing one to two hotel contracts for an estimated maximum number of 2000 room nights for the base year. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: The hotel(s) must 1) be compliant with the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990, 15 U.S.C. 2201 et seq, (Public Law 101-391) and hold a FEMA certification number; 2) be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. Section 12101 et seq. (ADA); 3) have one of the following ratings: First class or higher per the Official Hotel Guide; three diamonds or higher per AAA; three crowns or higher per the OAG Business Travel Planner; and 4) be connected to an automated reservation service. HOW TO ACQUIRE A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION: OCC anticipates issuing the solicitation about October 30, 2003 on this web site. The solicitation will contain the details of the rooms and services required, the instructions for submitting a quote, and how the quotes will be evaluated. This requirement will be procured using simplified acquisition procedures under the Test Program for Certain Commercial Items, FAR Subpart 13.5. All responsible hotels may submit a quote that will be considered by the OCC. OCC anticipates awarding contract(s) about the end of November 2003. *****
