- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution, Forrest City, Arkansas intends to award a contract to provide Psychiatric Services. The successful contractor shall be a licensed Psychiatrist in the State of Arkansas. The contractor will conduct psycho-tropic and anti-psychotic medication evaluations and follow up consultations on a minimum of twice per month at the Federal Correctional Institution and the Federal Prison Camp. These evaluations will be part of a scheduled psychiatry clinic that is coordinated with the Psychology Service Department. The psychiatry clinics will be no longer than eight hours per clinic depending on the number of inmates to be seen. Inmates should normally be evaluated in less than 30 minutes time with typical consults ranging from 15 to 20 minutes. The contractor will record initial follow up consults in inmates? medical records that are maintained by the Federal Bureau of Prisons. The contractor will be available for emergency telephonic consultation should the need arise to be able to order any medication for inmate in crisis. The services will be provided at the Federal Correctional Institution and the Federal Prisons Camp located at 779 Dale Bumpers Road, Forrest City, Arkansas 72335. The resulting contract estimated performance periods will be from October 29, 2003 to September 30, 2004. It is anticipated that the resulting contract will be a requirement type contract with a firm fixed price. This will be a full and open competitive procurement and all responsible sources may submit a quote for consideration. The North American Industrial Classification Code for this service is 621112 and the applicable small business size is 8.5M. The solicitation will be made available on or about October 10, 2003 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration?s Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments will be distributed solely through this site. The anticipated date for receipt of quotations is October 24, 2003. All responsible small business sources may submit a quotation which will be considered.
