- Description
- This is a sole-source notice of intent for Unisys hardware maintenance and software support for the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC): (North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811212 and the size standard is twenty-one (21) million dollars. This requirement will be for one year. It is the Intent of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to award a contract to Unisys Corporation under a sole source basis for Unisys Hardware Maintenance and Software Support for DTIC. The extensive amount of proprietary software products running on these Unisys systems and the technical support services required to maintain these systems/services make it not feasible for any other source to be able to meet all of DTIC?s requirements. The Hardware Maintenance and Software Support includes: HARDWARE MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS: On-Call Maintenance Service, Per-Call Maintenance Service, Preventive Maintenance Service, Remedial Maintenance Service, Miscellaneous Maintenance Service, Site Reconfiguration, REQUIRED RESPONSE TIME, REQUIRED REPAIR TIME, REPAIR/REPLACEMENT PARTS: Parts Availability, Repair/Diagnostic Tools, Equipment and Software, RECERTIFICATION SERVICES, SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE: SECURITY REQUIREMENTS, ENGINEERING CHANGE (EC) REQUIREMENTS: EC Installation, EC Status Reporting Requirements, MICROCODE UPDATES/CHANGES. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform these efforts in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. EST on October 28, 2003. See Note 25. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
