- Description
- The Government is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) as part of a market survey for the Marine Corp. The United States Marine Corps is gathering technical information as to the Small Business Munitions Manufacturing Companies capabilities relating to a potential requirement for 12 Gauge Non-Lethal point and area cartridges. These cartridges would be fired from 12 Gauge Mossberg 500 A2 cylinder bore shotguns ( NSN 1005-01-371-5639). The cartridge propellant must be smokeless powder. This procurement would be limited to Small Business Munitions Manufacturing Companies. Small Business Munitions Manufacturing Companies are encouraged to submit technical data information, including, but not limited to, sketches, photographs, projectile descriptions, muzzle velocities, accuracy capabilities at given distances and temperature performance characteristics for both point and area 12 gauge non-lethal cartridges. Do not submit any hardware items or materials. The information submitted will be used to determine future Marine Corps interest in procuring 12 gauge non-lethal point and area cartridges. All interested sources are encouraged to submit this information to NAVSURFWARCENDIV Crane by close of business 14 November 2003.
