- Vehicle inspection services for wildland firefighting engines and water tenders. Inspection sites will be located in two locations in Oregon (one eastside and one westside), and one location in Washington. Total of all inspections may reach 900 pieces of equipment. Each vehicle inspection involves checking the vehicle to ensure it is mechanically sound; is within the manufacturer?s gross vehicle weight limitations when fully loaded; has the required compliment of tools, accessories, and personal protective equipment; and the pump and tank meet all requirements. The period of conducting these inspections will generally be from April 1 through May 15. Companies that furnish engines and tenders for wildland firefighting or that have conflicts of interest with companies that provide engines and tenders for wildland firefighting will not be considered for providing these inspection services. Contract period will be one year with two optional renewal periods of one-year each. Please note: This was previously advertised as Solicitation No. R6-04-002 as a Request for Information (RFI).
