- One electric powered stand-up rider forklift and accessories for tree cold storage and shipping applications meeting the following specifications and having service capability within 50 miles of Coeur dAlene, Idaho, Idaho Panhandle National Forests, Coeur dAlene Nursery, Kootenai County, Idaho. This is a combined synopsis solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation RFQ R1-04-04-11 is issued as a Request for Quotation. The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-17. The clauses and provisions referenced in this solicitation can be found in full text form at http://www.arnet.gov/far. The North American Industry Classification Code is 423830, Industrial Machinery and Equipment Merchant wholesaler, the size standard is 100 employees. A quotation is requested for two line items. OPTIONAL LINE ITEM 2 The Nursery has the following forklift, two batteries and two battery chargers to trade in to offset the purchase price: One Clark Narrow Isle Stand-up Electric Forklift, Model year 1987, Model Number NST-20, Serial Number 245-0255 PM-6240 ,Capacity 1760 lbs., Amp Hours 1190 at 6 hour rate, Equipped with side shift. Two Batteries, One Trojan Battery, Battery Number 12-175-S-13, Serial Number 046539, 24 Volt and 12 cells,1050 Amp Hours,Weight 1968 lbs.,Year purchased 1998. Comments, runs about 6 hours when fully charged. One Wagstaff Battery, 24 volt and12 cells,Weight 2080 lbs.,Year1987. Comments runs about 3 hours when fully charged. Battery Chargers One Eagle Mark II Battery Charger, Model No.1PFE 12B-750EMP, Serial No. 109660 C1, Amp Hours 750, Input Volts 208 and 240 and 480, 1 Phase Input Amp 20.0and 17.4 and 8.7, Output Volts 24, Output Amps 125, Month and year purchased March 2001, Condition:very good. One LaMarche Micro-Monitor Battery Charger, Model No. A45B-105-12L-B and D and C1, Serial No. G 644-1, Amp Hours 816, Input Volts 208 and 240 and 480. 1 Phase Input Amps 30and 26 and13, Output Volts 24, Output Amps105,Year Purchased 1987, Condition needs to be repaired, currently does not work properly. Offer will specify how the Forklift and Accessories will be delivered and how the trade-ins will be picked-up. Required delivery to be made to the Coeur dAlene Nursery located at 3600 Nursery Road, Coeur dAlene, ID 83815, on or before January 7, 2004. FAR 52.211-16, Variation in Quantity (April 1984) applies to this solicitation and any resulting contract. (a) A variation in the quantity of any item called for by this contract will not be accepted unless the variation has been caused by conditions of loading, shipping, or packing, or allowances in the manufacturing processes, and then only to the extent, if any, specified in the paragraph (b) (below) of this clause. (b) The permissible variation in quantity shall be limited to 3 percent increase, 3 percent decrease, and total contract quantity. All deliveries shall be made on regular workdays (Monday through Friday) during regular business hours (7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.), excluding official Federal Government holidays. Contractor shall notify the Coeur dAlene Nursery 208-765-7375 a minimum of 24 hours prior to delivery. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The contract award will be offered to the best value offer made to the Government, considering net price, trade-in options and technical specifications. Offerors will include with their offer a completed copy of the provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items. The clauses 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition.
