- U.S. Government Expressions of Interest - Requirement: The United States Government presently occupies space in a building where the lease will expire in February 2004. The Government seeks to lease office and related space consisting of approximately three hundred forty-seven thousand (347,000) contiguous rentable square feet. The rentable space must yield approximately two hundred eight-nine thousand (289,000) contiguous BOMA office usable square feet of space, available for use by the tenant. The General Services Administration is conducting a competition for alternative space and will relocate if consideration of the economics involved and other factors are supportive. The cost of moving, alterations, and occupant mission, among other items, will be considered when deciding to relocate. Other Requirements: 1. The building must be of the size that the Government is the sole occupant of the facility. Retail space is not considered as part of this requirement 2. If the offered building has an underground parking facility, the offeror must offer the option to the Government to lease the entire parking garage to allow full Government control of the parking facility. Delineated Area: Within the Central Employment Area (CEA) of Washington, DC Term: 10 years firm Occupancy: Space must be ready for occupancy by July 2005. Expressions of Interest Should Include: 1. Building name and address 2. Rentable square feet and rentable rate per square foot 3. Method of measurement used to determine the rentable square feet 4. Common Area Factor(s) 5. List of building-provided services.
