Description
NA SIC: 1542; NAICS: 236220 ** Contract Specialist: Marian Alviar at 912-652-5539 Project Manager: Dennis Lindemeier at 912-652-5623** NOTE: Any prospective Offeror interested in proposing for this solicitation may view and/or download this solicitation and all amendments from the internet site http://ebs.sas.usace.army.mil/ after sol icitation issuance. Description of work: Renovation of multiple bays in the base supply warehouse to accommodate training aircraft mock-up components, administrative area and classroom space at Pope Air Force Base, NC. Modification to second building to provide a loading dock. The total scope of the project is 39,600 square feet. The project will include expansion of paved parking areas near or adjacent to both buildings. Storage racks to be disassembled, moved and reassembled. The contract will incl ude options. ** The contract issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The contract will be solicited and procured using a Performance Price Trade-Off (PPT) Request for Proposals (RFP) in accordance with FAR Part 15.101-1. Offerors are required to submit a price and technical proposal. Award will be made to an Offeror whose technical submittal and price proposal contain the combination of the criteria requested that offer the best value to the Government. The technical proposal will be evaluated using the follow ing factors: Factor 1: Past Performance; Factor 2: Corporate Relevant Specialized Experience. Examples of Relevant Specialized Experience involve addition/alteration/renovation of facilities, occupancy during construction, construction phasing/scheduli ng requirements, and handling of asbestos. The magnitude of construction is between one and five million dollars. This solicitation is issued 8(a) Competitive in accordance with FAR 19.8 and only qualified 8(a) firms in Region IV are eligible to participa te.** This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about 31 October 2003 on the Internet at http://ebs.sas.usace.army.mil. Proposals will be due on or about 1 December 2003. Notification of amendments will be thr ough use of the Internet. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc.) will be provided. It is the Offerors responsibility to check the Internet address provided as necessary for any posted changes to this solicitation and all amendments.
