Quantity ranges: 1 to 84, 85 to 168, 169 to 252. Delivery: 42 per month starting Jun 04 or before. FIRST ARTICLE REQUIREMENT for non- approved sources or those that have not delivered within 3 years. This is a source-controlled item. Only sources listed are qualified. Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. The requirements of FAR 9.2021(a) have been completed and copies of the qualification requirements and standards may be obtained as described in the solicitation. These qualification requirements apply to line item(s) 0001. Award will be made only if the offeror meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR 52.209-1. Award will not be held in abeyance pending qualification of other sources. The approximate issue date will be 05 NOV 2003. Written procedure will be used for this solicitation. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential Offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel.
