Description
This project will consist of road reconstruction, retaining walls and drainage on 0.403 kilometers roadway for CA ERFO/PRA SEQU 10(7), Generals Highway, in Sequoia Kings Canyon National Park, Tulare County, State of California. Estimated price range is between $1,000,000 and $3,000,000. This project contains 1 schedule. Principal work items: Miscellaneous survey and staking, 100 hrs; contractor testing, lump sum; silt fence, 500 m; sediment control log, 60 m; removal of pipe culverts, 4 ea; roadway excavation, 3,500 m3; subexcavation, 50 m3; uniaxial geogrid, various types, 8,300 m2; structural backfill, 600 m3; shoring and bracing, lump sum; placed riprap, various class, 400 m3; gabions, polyvinyl chloride coated, 150 m3; reinforced concrete retaining wall, 45 m2; roadway aggregate, method 2, 150 t; minor hot asphalt concrete, 200 t; concrete headwall for 900 mm pipe culvert, 3 ea; concrete coloring agent, 200 kg; pipe culvert, various size, 100 m; flume downdrain, 450 mm, 100 m; inlet special concrete, 5 ea; Portland cement concrete curb, 150 mm depth, 400 m; fence, temporary construction, 200 m; furnishing and placing topsoil, 450 m3; seeding, dry method, 1,100 m2; seeding, hydraulic method, 1,700 m2; mulching, hydraulic method, bonded fiber matrix, 1,700 m2; erosion control mat type 2, 1,100 m2; construction sign, 56 m2; temporary concrete barrier, 196 m; moving temporary concrete barrier, 392 m; temporary traffic signal system, lump sum along traffic control and equipment rental. The following applies only to Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs): The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontractor at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
