- Description
- The U. S. Postal Service is soliciting proposals from prequalified contractors for the replacement of the HVAC system (air handlers & chiller) located at the Main Post Office in Inglewood, CA. The work is to be completed in one hundred fifty days (150) days after notice to proceed. The estimated range is $200,000.00 to $300,000.00. The proposal must contain the offeror?s overhead, profit, bonds, insurance, and all other contingencies. No allowance for such items will be made after contract award. The minority subcontracting goal for this contract will be 11%. Offers will not be publicly opened. Offerors may visit the website www.fedbizopps.gov to obtain information on federal opportunities and other contractual information. Award information will be posted on this website. All proposal information will remain confidential until award. This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the authority of the U. S. Postal Service Purchasing Manual, Issue 2 dated 1/31/02. A pre-proposal conference will be held on October 28, 2003 @ 12:30 PM at the Inglewood Main Post Office. Offerors are strongly encouraged to attend this on-site meeting. To submit a proposal, please complete and return pages 1 and 2; Section L; and the Schedule of Values (Attachment 4). For additional instructions, refer to Section K. The Postal Service is committed to maximum involvement of minority and woman-owned businesses in this project. Contractors are encouraged to develop an aggressive MBE/WBE subcontracting plan.
