- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to initiate a Basic Ordering Agreement with Raytheon Systems Company, Portsmouth, RI 02871-1087. The purpose of the proposed BOA and all subsequent order placed under it is to procure the AN/AQS-22 Airborne Low Frequency Sonar (ALFS) Operational Test Program Sets, logistics and training, technical manuals and sustaining engineering. The proposed acquisition is for OTPSs for a sonar system in which the Government does not own specifications or drawings. The technical data and drawings for the ALFS and OTPSs are proprietary to Raytheon Systems Company. NAWCADLKE intends to procure this under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (C) (1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. No solicitation package is available for this procurement. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See note 22.
