- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to enter into sole source negotiations with Support Systems Technology Corp. (SSTC) Matthews, NC 28105-6854 for training of the Douglas Aircraft Handler Type EN MK2C traction unit for the handling of H-60 aircraft on board Navy ships. Operation and maintenance training of the EN MK2C Aircraft Handler is required using the Authoring Instructional Materials (AIM) software package. The proposed training is for Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE) for which the Government does not own specifications or drawings. SSTC is the only source allowed by Douglas Equipment Manufacture to reproduce the technical data and manuals for training and maintenance. NAWCADLKE intends to procure these items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (C) (1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. No solicitation package is available for this procurement. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See note 22.
