- NA The Communications and Electronics Command (CECOM) Acquisition Center and Product Manager Target Identification and Meteorological Sensors (PM TIMS) are seeking sources to provide technical support and software development support for the Meteorological Me asuring Set-Profiler (MMS-P) and Meteorological Measuring Set (MMS) Systems, and any other programs that are related to Profiler. This requirement will include activities for the preparation, review, and update of software and technical documentation, preparation of independent assessments and studies, engineering services and the coordination of hardware/software development activit ies and associated integration. In addition, the contractor will provide technical support and participate in demonstrations, technical evaluations, testing and fielding. This is a market survey requesting information only. No solicitation will be issued against this notice. This survey is also issued IAW the requirements of FAR Part 10 to determine the applicability of FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Abstract shall include description of the idea/concept and provide performance characteristics. Information desired includes type of data provided, vertical resolution, maximum al titude, data accuracy and revisit rates. For existing devices approximate cost and availability, size, weight and power requirements should be provided. For near term developmental items, estimates of expected data output and physical characteristics should be provided as well as estimates of eff ort needed to complete development of the technologies. Any known limitations of the devices or technology should be discussed. In accordance with FAR Clause 52.215-3, the Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this solicitation or to otherwise pay for the information solicited. Once the information requested is received and evaluated, an acquisition strateg y will be developed.
