- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. As a result of the initial sources sought synopsis for this requirement which posted on 6 June 2003 and did not produce any interested potential sources, the government intends to award a commercial acquisition in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, sole source purchase order for the basic performance period of 1 October 2003 through 30 September 2004 with option years through 2008 to, Tennant Sales and Services Company, 701 N. Lilac Drive, Minneapolis Minnesota 55440, for the following items; CLIN 0001; The contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, equipment, and transportation necessary to service and perform preventative and remedial maintenance on Tennant Models: 550D SRS, 550D, 432EE, 1480ES, 1490ES, 5200B, 5700XPS, 8300C-1200 battery operated floor scrubbers, and one Clark-American-Lincoln, Model 526-009 floor scrubber. Work to be performed is as follows: check drive belts for tension - adjust as needed; check fluid level, oil, water and coolant; check belt and all movable parts; check all electrical parts, repair or replace as needed; check all hoses, fuel, water, gas, air, hydraulic and replace as needed; check squeegees for wear and replace as needed; check all engine parts and repair or replace as needed; check all brushes and repair or replace as needed; check hydraulic systems and repair as needed; check safety devices such as, brakes, guards, switches and seat belts repair as needed; check articulating joints repair as needed; check tires and casters repair or replace as needed; check recovery tanks clean as needed, repair, or replace; check and change all filters, fuel, or water; replace batteries as needed; replace seals and gaskets as needed; test-run and make adjustments as needed each and every time machine is worked on; repair clutches and transmissions as needed; full service to include replacing parts that are beyond economical repair. The Contractor shall comply with all Federal and State applicable codes, Edwards Air Force Base Environmental regulations, in addition to current industry standards. Due to the dislocation of Edwards AFB from any service centers, it is imperative that the Contractor maintains replacement parts in order to repair these scrubbers, with a minimum downtime. When notified of remedial maintenance discrepancies the contractor shall be equipped and prepared to cover any repair scenarios. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 811310 with a size standard of $6.0 Million. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F04700-03-T-0098. The solicitation is a request for Quotations (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-06 and Defense Acquisition Change Notice (DCN): 20020426.
