- Under Statutory Authority 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) the Minneapolis VA Medical Center (VAMC) anticipates entering into a sole source procurement with Dictaphone, Inc., Service Support Center, 3984 Pepsi Cola Drive, Melbourne, FL 32934 for a hardware and software maintenance contract for the period from October 1, 2003 to September 30, 2004. The VAMC has a requirement for maintenance/repair services, including all parts and labor, to be provided for the following Dictaphone Powerscribe system located at the VA Medical Center, One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417, It is believed, for proprietary reasons, that Dictaphone, Inc. is the only company that can provided the required service. NAICS code is 541990 ? Professional, Scientific & Technical Services with a small business size of $6.0 Million. Solicitation and award procedures under Federal Acquisition Regulations FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13 for commercial items will be followed. It is anticipated that a firm-fixed price one year contract will be awarded. Solicitation number RFQ-618-69-04 has been assigned. Formal bid documents are not available. Firms that feel they have the ability to provide the required service/supply may submit their capabilities information including technical data and pricing information to this office for consideration.
