- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons - Federal Detention Center, Miami, Florida, intends to make a single award to a qualified small business for the provision of one (1) Muslim Imam for the Federal Detention Center, Miami, Florida. Services will be provided to individuals who are under the custody and care of the Federal Bureau of Prisons within a secure correctional environment. The contract term shall consist of a base period from the date of award through twelve (12) months with four (4) subsequent, 12 month option periods for renewal if exercised. The successful contractor shall provide services which include, but are not limited to the following: Muslim Imam (Islamic Clergy)- provide instruction and counsel peculiar to the faith and practice of the Islamic Religion. The contractor must have undergone thorough theological training and have a grasp of Islamic teaching, practices and ministry. Must have a minimum of two (2) years of ministerial experience in a recognized Islamic Denomination. There will be a minimum of three (3), one (1) sessions per week. The number of hours per week for any service will not exceed thirty (30) hours. The solicitation will be made available on or about October 10, 2003, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations?s Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizzopps.gov.
