- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate and award on a sole source basis a firm-fixed requirements type contract for the acquisition of 16mm and 105 mm Laser-Xp microfilm to Anacomp, Inc. of Poway, CA. The film is for use in the Anacomp XFP 2000 Computer Output Microfilm Recorders. The contract will contain a base year with four renewable option years, if exercised. This item is for a proprietary product obtainable only from Anacomp, Inc. and not available through dealers or distributors. This is not a competitive request for quotation or an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation, but merely notification of the Government?s intent to procure microfilm from Anacomp, Inc. The Government does not intend to pay for information solicited or received. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation of information received. The Government will consider all information from responsible sources within 7 days after the date of publication of this synopsis. Any organization that believes that it has the capability to perform this requirement may submit a statement of such capability to the Contracting Officer at the following address: Social Security Administration, Office of Acquisition and Grants, 1710 Gwynn Oak Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21207, ATTN: Maria Hill. Costs for the preparation and submission of proposals will not be reimbursed by the Government. No telephone calls.
