Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract with BAE Systems for the Full Rate Production (FRP) of the Integrated Defensive Electronic Counter Measures (IDECM) AN/ALQ-214 Radio Frequency Countermeasures (RFCM) systems. The FRP requirement includes procurement of up to 20 AN/ALQ-214(V) systems (FY04) and a priced option for up to 40 systems (FY05). Additionally potential spares pieces of the IDECM system to be procured are estimated to be; 22 receivers, 18 modulators, 9 processors, 18 low-band amplifiers, 18 high-band amplifiers, and approximately 60 Electronic Frequency Converters (Signal Conditioning Assembly Cards). A range of ancillary support equipment to be procured includes Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and associated data requirements. BAE Systems, is the sole designer and developer of the IDECM RFCM system and is the only source which possesses the technical data and specialized skills to perform this effort within the required timeframe.
