- Description
- Project consists of the construction of one, with the option to include one additional, steel framed, pre-engineered building(s) at the Iron River National Fish Hatchery near Iron River, Wisconsin. The basic requirement is to demolish an existing 146' by 416' air-supported dome and concrete foundation and construct a new 146' by 416' clear-span pre-engineered steel Production building. The option requirement is to demolish an existing 120' by 168' air-supported dome and concrete foundation and construct a new 140' by 190' clear-span pre-engineered steel Broodstock building. Both the basic and option requirements include furnishing all labor, tools, equipment, materials, superintendence, and transportation; electrical and miscellaneous site work; and all appurtenant work specified and shown in the contract documents. The estimated magnitude of this requirement (including the option) in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This procurement is issued unrestricted under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program, Public Law 100-656, and is not set-aside exclusively for small business concerns. For information purposes, the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 236210, Industrial Building Construction, with a size standard of $28.5 million. Solicitation packages will be available on first-come-first-served basis, free of charge approximately 10/22/2003 with bid opening occurring on or about 11/21/2003.
