Description

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract on a Sole Source basis to Systran Corporation, 4126 Linden Avenue, Dayton, OH 45432-3068 for O-SR-SER0004-098 Non-Recurring Hardware Engineering (NRE) to develop Conduction Cooled FibreXtreme SL100 PMC boards Part Number FHAS-4900-00048 which includes design, fabrication, verification testing , temperature testing, vibration and shock testing and production testing procedures. The Government intends to issue a request for written quote to Systran Corporation, Inc. using FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. The anticipated award date is 2003 Oct 31. This action is being processed on a Sole Source basis due to the fact that only Systran Serial FPDP PMCs are guaranteed to be completely compatible with the Systran Chipsets and Intellectual Property already in use and any changes in the design or components would be costly and require additional time to implement.
