- This solicitation will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov on or about October 17, 2003. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND TELEPHONE REQUESTS OR FAX REQUESTS FOR THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. This solicitation is offered as full and open competition. Thunder Creek Trail Suspension Bridge Repair, Ross Lake National Recreation Area within North Cascades National Park Complex, 65 miles east of Sedro-Woolley, Washington. Solicitation No. Q9471041004. The National Park Service requires a firm, fixed-price construction contract to furnish all labor, equipment, materials, and transportation to complete the work required. The work includes but is not limited to: Provide engineering design services and permanent repairs to the Thunder Creek Trail Suspension Bridge which was damaged this summer by a falling tree. Permanent repairs include the following, (1) secure truss ends of the bridge to the abutments; (2) replace 18 solid bar suspender assemblies, with cable suspender assemblies; (3) add a retainer to the main line cable saddles; (4) clean, seal, or replace sub-grade portions of the main line cables; (5) straighten 2 complession truss diagonals; straighten top and bottom chords; straighten a post; replace 2 compression truss diagonals. The NAICS Code for this project is 237310. The price range for this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Responses will be due approximately 10 days after issuance of the solicitation. The approximate completion date is November 20, 2003.
