Description
Under authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), the Government anticipates entering into sole source procurement with Apropos Technology, Inc., One Tower Lane, #1200, Oakbrook, IL 60181-4671 for continued licensing, patches, maintenance and upgrades to Mumps software modules. NAICS code 514199 applies to this procurement. The Apropos Technology, Inc. products are proprietary and wholly owned by Apropos Technology, Inc.. Apropos Technology, Inc. will provide software maintenance, technical support, customer service, and software enhancements. The above authority is cited and justification made based on the determination that the Government?s minimum needs can best be satisfied by services available from one source. This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302 and under Commercial Item Acquisition, FAR Part 12. Interested persons may identify their capability to respond to this requirement or to submit proposals by October15, 2003. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received on or before October15, 2003 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
