- The Government is seeking comments from industry on its draft Statement of Need (SON) document for laptop computers. This is not a Request for Proposal. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation policy, industry is being given an opportunity to comment on agency requirements or to recommend application and tailoring of requirements documents and alternative approaches. You must go to the following website to download the SON and to submit comments: http://www.census.gov/procur/www/laptop/ Comments must be submitted by October 14, 2003.
