Description

Construct project work as specified in the plans and specifications for the purpose of restoring wetland conditions and enhancing habitat of a wetland restoration program site in Dane County, Wisconsin. Work will include filling ditches, breaking tile, abandon pumps, excavating shallow wildlife areas and seed disturbed areas The quantities of work include: 3,305 CY earthfill, 19,968 CY shallow excavation (average depth 18?), abandoning 2 pumps, 2,750 linear feet tile break, and 14.5 acres of seeding. Range of cost is $25,000 to $100,000. Earthwork shall begin by December 1, 2003 and be completed by December 19, 2003. Seeding shall be completed by May 15, 2004. A site showing is scheduled for Wednesday October 29, 2003. The site showing will begin at 10AM in the UW Extension conference room, located at 864 Collins Road, Jefferson, WI. For directions call that location at 920-674-7295. After a brief meeting concerning the bidding process and contract requirements, the group will leave for a tour of the work site. Be sure to bring your solicitation packages including construction plans and specifications to the site showing. All interested bidders can obtain a solicitation, plan and specifications through www.fedbizopps.gov.
