Description
The Federal Correctional Institution, Oxford, Wisconsin is soliciting to establish a contract to provide the services of a board certified or board eligible General Surgeon, or resident of general surgery. The contractor will provide examinations, evaluations, minor surgical care in-house, and treatment of the inmates at the Federal Correctional Institution and Federal Prison Camp, Oxford, Wisconsin. The Contractor will consult with and advise the Clinical Director regarding patient care plans for special cases. He/she will evaluate and analyze the status of their patients and make recommendations based on clinical findings. The Contractor will provide written and/or dictated reports on all patients referred for care and/or evaluation and will include recommendations for further diagnostic testing and/or treatment, when indicated, to the Clinical Director. The Contractor will not function in an administrative capacity. The Contractor will work independently without the direct supervision of Bureau of Prison employees. The service shall be one hour per session for a total of three sessions per month, as needed. The Contractor will provide sessions between the hours of 8:00 am through 11:30 am and/or 12:00 pm through 3:30 pm Monday through Friday, not to exceed 30 hours per week for an estimated 36 sessions. The anticipated contract period will be October 1, 2003 through September 30, 2004. An option year contract is contemplated, award will be based on the total price for the basic requirement together with any option(s) exercised at the time of award. The contractor will adhere to all regulations prescribed by F.C.I. Oxford for the safety, custody, and conduct of inmates. The contractor will attend a four hour training session prior to assuming institutional involvement. . A firm fixed-price contract will be awarded on tor about October 23, 2003. The estimated range of this agreement is between $25,000 and $100,000. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for small business. This solicitation will be available on or after October 1, 2003, and will be distributed solely through the General Service?s Administration Federal Business Opportunities web site www.fedbizops.gov. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to enure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Contractors having access to sensitive information, to include but not limited to, any information which cannot be released to the general public, will be required to have a National Agency Chick with Inquiries,(NACI) background investigation initiated and a case number assigned prior to contract award.
