- THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE COMBINED SYNOPSIS/RFQ FOR Design and Fabricate Vacuum Chamber. Companies shall acknowledge all amendment(s) in their quote. This notice serves as the official amendment to subject synopsis/RFQ and a written amendment will not be issued. The purpose of this amendment is to Answer questions. The due date for receipt of offers has already been extended to 9/23/2003. Question: The RFQ specifies 1x10-8 cubic inches of helium per hour which equates to 4.56x10-11 SCCS Helium (approximately 44 times better). This number is beyond customary standards for a process chamber of this type. Could you please confirm if this leak rate is correct. Answer: The leak rate specification will be changed to 2x10-9 std cc/sec of Helium. This standard for UHV process chambers is acceptable for our requirements
