- Description
- Sole source requirement for evaluation and upgrade of two existing antennas, procurement of two new acquisition systems and related hardware, and integration and testing. Existing antennas to be shipped to contractor. Items to be procured on a sole source basis to SeaSpace Corp, Poway, CA 92064. Systems used by Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey CA, Dept. of Meteorology on ongoing project to collect and archive defense meteorological special sensor (DMSP) imagery and National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Admin (NOAA) weather satellite data used both for research and instructional purposes. The dept. maintains a remote sensing lab that receives and archives high resolution picture transmisstion (HRPT) polar orbiting satellite imagery using a system developed by SeaSpace Corp. This system is compatible with NOAA/DMSP Receiving System. RFQ N00244-03-T-1201 will be utilized for this non-competitive procurement. Anticipated award date is September 24, 2003.
