- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) has a Indigo Systems Corporation brand name or equal requirement for one (1) Each Merlin MID Camera, one (1) Each 25mm Lens, one (1) Each 50mm Lens and one (1) Each 100mm Lens. The camera is a Mid Wave IR (MWIR) camera intended to be used as a surrogate for developmental MWIR sensor systems. The camera will be used to collect IR data of various targets and will be used in various ways, including mounting on a tripod or on special mounts on vehicles (such as boats) and in hazardous areas that require remote operation of camera functions. Any offered alternative equal Merlin MID Camera product must meet the following minimum salient characteristics: 320 X 256 detector array, Integral Stirling cooler for electronics/ focal plane array cooling, Nominal 3 to 5 micron bandpass for total system including optics, NTSC RS 170 analog video output, 60 Hz corrected and uncorrected 12 bit or higher digital output via RS 422 interface having a screw down connector, Remote control of camera functions via RS 232 interface having a screw down connector, must include camera control software run under Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional/XP Professional compatible to perform the remote control of camera functions, power supply/transformer for 120V, 60 Hz standard electrical supply and threaded 0.25 inch diameter, 20 threads per inch hole to allow mounting to standard tripods. Any offered alternative equal 25mm focal lens product must meet the following minimum salient characteristics: must function in the provided MWIR camera and be a 25mm focal length f/2.3 MWIR lens that provides a nominal IFOV of 1.2 miliradians. Any offered alternative equal 50mm focal lens product must meet the following minimum salie nt characteristics: must function in the provided MWIR camera and be a 50mm focal length f/2.3 MWIR lens that provides a nominal IFOV of 0.6 miliradians. Any offered alternative equal 100mm focal lens product must meet the following minimum salient characteristics: must function in the provided MWIR camera and be a 100mm focal length f/2.3 MWIR lens that provides a nominal IFOV of 0.3 miliradians. Delivery is required F.O.B. Destination NLT 6 weeks After Date Of Order to NSWCDD. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY REQUEST FOR QUOTATION, AS ALL ITEMS ARE SPECIFIED UNDER THIS NOTICE. SUBMIT FAX, SIGNED AND DATED QUOTATIONS NLT 2:00 P.M. 25 SEPTEMBER 2003 to 540-653-6810. IT IS THE OFFEROR?S RESPONSIBILITY TO ASSURE THE QUOTE IS RECEIVED TIMELY, LEGIBLE AND COMPLETE. AS A MINIMUM, QUOTATIONS MUST INCLUDE: (1) Reference to Quotation Number N00178-03-Q-3043, (2) Quoter? s name, address, point of contact, phone number, email address, (3) Separate pricing for the offered MID Camera, the 25mm lens, the 50mm lens and the 100mm lens. (4) Clear identification of each offered equal product, the manufacturer of each product and the model numbers for each offered item, (5) The offered delivery date and (6) Descriptive literature for any/all non Indigo offered products/items (NTE 5 pages), which clearly addresses each of the specified minimum salient characteristics. QUOTES FAILING TO SUBMIT THE ABOVE INFORMATION MAY BE EXCLUDED FROM CONSIDERATION. Award will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures on an all or none basis. All responsible sources may submit a proposal to NSWCDD, Bldg 183, Room 106, Code XDS13, 17320 Dahlgren Road, Dahlgren, VA 22448-5100, which shall be considered by the Agency. Closing date is 2:00 P.M. 25 SEPTEMBER 2003 .
