Description

The 11th Contracting Squadron, Bolling AFB DC intends to award a simplified acquisition purchase order on a sole source basis to Federal Radio Services Corp. The purpose of the purchase is for the renewal of radio subscription services in support of the 11th Wing Communications Squadron, Bolling Air Force Base. Subject requirement is being acquired on a sole source basis as The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) has required all government agencies located within the 60 km from the White House, and operating within the 406-420 Mega Hertz frequency bandwith, be subscribers on the the Government Owned Shared Mobile Radio System (GOSMR). GOSMR is under the direct control of the Department of Commerce/NTIA which has until recently (October 1, 1996) been operated and maintained by Motorola U.S. Federal Division. Federal Radio Service Corp. (FEDSMR) became the new caretakers of the GOSMR making them the sole and undisputed providers of this system. Award of this solicitation will be made on or about 30 September 2003. NAICS Code: 514191. No telephone inquiries will be accepted.
