- Description
- The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) is seeking sources that can provide up to 25 genetically modified (either knockout (KO) or knockin (KI)) mice per year for a base year with the option for four additional years beginning on January 12, 2004. Contractor may be required to develop constructs or provide specific KO or KI mice based on constructs provided by NIAID investigators. Contractor must be able to provide proof of a five-year minimum track record for germ line transmission for C57BL/6 mice. Contractor must have experience in genotyping and ES cell screening by Southern Blot analysis. No licensing fees or royalties will apply. All technology will be offered by the contractor on an un-encumbered basis. This means that the government will own each mouse and any inventions or intellectual property discovered using the mouse. Contractor must offer online, secure access to individual project data and results via secure web link.
